Pay: $18.35-$22.66
Shift: 4:30 am – 3:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine dimensions and tolerances of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges
- Operate manual and computer-controlled machine tools such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, and CNC machines to shape and form metal parts
- Verify finished parts meet specifications using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges
- Assemble, align, and test completed tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to ensure proper functioning
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of tooling equipment
- Participate in safety and quality assurance programs
- Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision and attention to detail
- Basic math skills, including the ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced Tool and Die Makers
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a noisy environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Completion of a vocational or technical school program in Tool and Die Making or related field
- Experience operating manual and computer-controlled machine tools
- Familiarity with CAD software for tool and die design
