MANDATORY ON-CALL ROTATIONAL SCHEDULE
ON-SITE – ZEELAND, MI
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead the design, creation and implementation of database systems based on end user requirements.
- Build effective partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional departments to successfully deliver optimal architecture, deployment strategies and other various projects.
- Provide ongoing technical leadership for global database deployment in multiple geographic regions.
- Provide direction during incident management.
- Provide technical leadership, coordination and prioritization on projects that require database administrator resources.
- Manage various projects within the allotted timeline and budget.
- Oversee the implementation of recovery strategies and execution of disaster recovery exercises.
- Negotiate and coordinate database and application patching with the affected internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate instance cloning for testing and validation to support business functions and projects.
- Provide on-call 24/7 support for mission critical production systems.
- Monitor production systems, perform system tuning and coordinate with third party support staff as needed.
- Provide IT infrastructure roadmap and execution direction.
- Assist with developing and maintaining data security processes.
- Lead and perform cloud infrastructure and applications provisioning and support.
- Coach and mentor other IT Database Administrators
WHAT TO BRING
- A Bachelors degree in computer related field.
- Strong database administration experience.
- High availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) methodology experience.
- Ability to work nonstandard hours and/or holidays as needed.

- Microsoft Windows Server and/or LINUX experience
- Oracle applications experience.
- Cloud-based systems experience.
