Shift: 3rd Shift: Hours – (pm to 10:30pm) Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays depending on OT.
Environment: This is a tier 1 automotive supplier and global leader in automotive seating, supporting all major automakers. They make complete seats and parts for seating in both domestic/civilian vehicles as well as commercial. The plant is large and can be hot at times because of the manufacturing processes throughout. A lot of assembly and robotic equipment for automated cells/production lines.
Job Description:
- This person will be a part of the maintenance team in a large automotive manufacturer. Will be tasked with both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting at times.
- Ability and willingness to diagnose and repair the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical aspects of a wide variety of machines.
- Will be tasked with reading prints and manuals for various types of equipment. Must have experience and ability to read schematics both mechanical and electrical.
- Exposure to PLCs and Controls Systems will be a regular occurrence as this plant does have automated equipment and assembly cells/lines.
- This plant also has large stamping presses in a part of the plant that needs regular PM work and machine repair. Exposure to a little of everything in maintenance is to be expected.
Requirements for Employability:
- Candidate must have a journeyman card in any of the following disciplines (Electrician, Millwright, or Machine Repair)
- Must be recognized by the DOL but can be outside of the state DOL license (Given by employer)
- If the candidate does not have a cert or card they must posses an associates or bachelors degree in related field plus experience.
- This person must have experience in a manufacturing setting. Must understand maintenance in a manufacturing setting which is why the need it.
- They would prefer someone who has been exposed to stamping presses or familiar maintenance in a stamping facility.
