Pay: $16-$18
Shift: 1st, 6am-2pm
Responsibilities
- Machine set-ups including adjustment of equipment settings, mounting printing plates, dies
- Controls, monitors, and adjusts machine settings and function
- Reviews daily production schedule; makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
- Inspects incoming corrugated paper to confirm specification for job order and ensure for quality
- Performs regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Keep records of output, downtime, quality, and scrap
- Performs daily, weekly, and/or monthly preventive maintenance activities and submits maintenance work orders for needed repairs
- Maintains clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Corrugated packaging experience is ideal
- Proven experience as a machine operator and/or experience in production and manufacturing procedures, excellent mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity and comfort with complex machinery and measurement tools (tape measure)
- Ability to read and understand specifications, manuals, and measuring tools
- Teamwork and communication
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical degree is a plus
- Basic math with strong written and verbal communication skill
