CNC Machinist
Pay: $20-$25 + 15% shit premium
Location: Kentwood, MI
Shift: Night shift 8pm-6am (scheduled for 50 hours/week, no other require OT, no weekends)
Job Responsibilities
Operates computer numerical control machines to fabricate parts
Loads parts in the machine, cycles machine and detects malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools
Runs production lots, communicates with co-workers regarding productions runs, and maintains a safe, organized and clean work environment
Safely operate equipment
Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe work environment
Have good organizational skills
Attention to detail
Effective time management
Ability to work variable and flexible hours including overtime with minimal supervision
Ability to work with a team and by yourself
Convey a positive image of the company in all actions and behaviors
Take initiative and accept responsibility for job assignments/duties
Have regular and reliable attendance as well as punctuality
Regularly performs milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and de-burring, sawing, and sanding tasks
Performs inspection of machined products, and documents results
Completes and maintains paperwork for parts
Assists in other work areas to perform fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operation and sand blasting tasks
Ability to read, write, speak English, add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. while using safe lifting techniques
Ability to occasionally manually handle material
Ability to occasionally use technology to access internal systems
Ability to use mathematical skills
Weldment experience a plus
Ability to work while being exposed to fumes/airborne particles, moving mechanical parts/vibration, and a high noise level
Required Work Experience & Skills
