The Network Engineer designs, builds, and maintains network equipment infrastructure. Plans both long and short-term strategies for network infrastructure. Possess hands-on experience of day-to-day network administration. Expert in load balancing. Knowledge/experience of servers, storage and backup administration is plus.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Network Administration – create, manage, and administer all aspects of IP networking, wireless SSIDs, VLANs, both traditional WAN and SD-WAN connectivity, firewall policies, and VPN/SSLVPN configurations.
  • Maintain load balancing.
  • Work with global teams to ensure the business-critical applications and resources are functioning and properly maintained
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.
  • Engineer, build, configure, implement, and administer Fortinet firewalls and access points, Silver Peak and Velocloud edge devices, and Cisco and Dell switches and access points.
  • Manage, implement, test, document, and support network infrastructure.
  • Review vendor products and services to ensure all technologies are fully integrated
  • Smart problem solver with good analytical skills – troubleshoot easy to complex problem and resolve in timely manner. Escalate the issue when needed.
  • Maintain high availability (99.99%+) of core business systems by proactively acting on systems alerts. Keep systems healthy and stable.
  • Possess strong collaboration skills – work closely with other IT members.
  • Solid hands-on experience in patching, applying firmware to infrastructure hardware.
  • Manage and oversee systems projects to ensure successful implementation and on-time deliverable.
  • Anticipate potential issues or bottleneck and identify possible solutions.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
 

  • Improve customer services, perception, and satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Communicate to customers: keeping them informed of progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages, etc.
  • Able to work with vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate service levels.
  • Routinely require afterhours and weekend for systems maintenance activities.

Qualifications:
 

  • Minimum 7 years of working experience in network administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience in servers, storages, vmware administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related fields.
  • Added relevant certifications are plus
  • Possess excellent project management, communication, time management, analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of broad range network infrastructure
