Scheduling Coordinator 
Pay: $25/hr
Shift: 1st 

Summary of the Position:

The purpose of this position is to assist in scheduling company wide tasks for all HTMI departments, affiliated with individual tasks and forcast planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage day to day operations that include answering phones, handling inquiries, taking messages and scheduling.
  • Assist in end to end planning, direction and co-ordination of all the mold build processes.
  • Liaise with the Machining Supervisors
  • Assist Coordination of Schedule / Plan work sent to Hi-Tech Mold SE as well as identify openings / availabilities.
  • Assist in Organizing meetings with other team members to facilitate results on Upcoming and Current work.
  • Internal AX Continuous Improvement Team Member – attend, participate, review goals, planning and items in process.
  • Continually improve the existing operations as well as systems in AX.

  • Training with employees, supervisor and managers in AX.
  • Departmental and High Level Corporate Capacity planning
  • Upcoming workload planning and preparation
  • Assist in Manufacturing Reviews with Management, attending Contract Reviews as needed.
  • Assist in Value Stream Mapping for process optimization.
  • Generate and issue outsourcing request for quotes and purchase orders to approved suppliers.
  • Reviewing RFQ’s cost and hours budgeted in ERP system, determine best source for completing a task when in timeline.
  • Coordinate tool and/or component outsourcing (i.e. work for Machining, EDM, Benching, and complete tool builds).
  • Make shippers for intercompany and outgoing items to outsources.
  • Visual inspect of outsource components rib counts, 3d and 2d finished complete.
  • Complete necessary inspection documentation.
  • Coordinate heat treat and stress relief along with documented reports for customers.
  • Complete site visits at supplier facilities to inspect our product as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or Business Administration preferred and/or three (3) plus years work experience in design and/or manufacturing environment.

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and interpret technical information/drawings.
  • Proficient knowledge and demonstrated application of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design and operate computer aided design systems.
  • Knowledge of the mold design and build processes
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Must be a team player and work well with others in process development and problem solving.
  • Time management; ability to prioritize and complete assigned tasks.
