Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Muskegon, MI

Job description:

  1. Work in a safe manner, following LOTO procedures, mobile equipment guidelines and best practices per ADAC safety trainings and standards.
  2. Work towards metrics outlined on the GEMBA boards: uptime, labor hours (OT and standard) and PM on-time completion.
  3. Proactively identify safety hazards and follow necessary steps to make the proper repairs.
  4. Complete assigned PMs on conveyors, ovens, spray booths, robots, secondary equipment, etc..
  5. Complete other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
  6. Troubleshoot equipment for downtime reduction and machine optimization
  7. Utilize knowledge of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  8. Communicate with internal and external customers to resolve downtime issues
  9. Coordinate spare part ordering and deliveries with external vendors
  10. Manage quoting and maintaining critical spare parts
  11. Lead, mentor and train other maintenance associates
  12. Actively seek out process improvements
  13. Initiate tasks as necessary
  14. Improve and maintain 6S standards
  15. Troubleshoot machinery using prints, tools and mechanical knowledge.
  16. Maintain day-to-day production and uptime.

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
  3. Sound knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, sensing systems and automation required.
 

Addition notes:

  1. Ability to problem solve and display sound problem resolution capabilities.
  2. Ability to work independently and in a teamwork environment.
  3. Ability to use problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability and desire to learn new processes and seek out new information.
