Electrician 
Industrial Electrician

Pay:30-35/hr

Job Responsibilities

  • Electrical
    • Knowledge & well versed on NEC requirements
    • Sound knowledge of Electrical Theory
    • Experience with Commercial and Industrial Power supply and feeder per codes.
    • Trouble shoot fuses
    • Effective use of Volt and Amp meter
    • Troubleshoot and change proximity switches
    • Change out a servo motor
    • Ability to unwire and rewire motors
  • Blueprints and Diagrams
    • Must be able to read machine builder prints.
    • Ability to read, design and edit hydraulic and pneumatic blue prints.
  • Machine Rebuilding
    • Repair/refurbish worn components
    • Install bearings, rails and slide units
    • Replace ball screws
    • Repair and replace hydraulic and pneumatic hoses, cylinders and valves.
    •  Ability to re-plumb a cell as well as plumb from scratch
    • Knowledge of rigging and safe lifting of equipment.
    • Repair and replace vacuum and dust collection lines.
    • Ability to perform regular preventative maintenance activities.
    • Change out couplings and clutches.
    • Perform a vibration analysis
    • Build new components from drawings.
    • Reverse engineer machine components.
    • Build a machine from a drawing.
    • Perform a hydraulic system design, to include valves, pressure and regulators.
    • Knowledge of Ultra sound technology
    • Use Infrared thermography
  • Fabrication
    • Proficiency in steel, mig/tig, gas, wire and stick welding
    • Ability to fabricate machine guarding
    • Understands basic machine function and is able to read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
    • Skilled in mill and lathe machining.
  • Teardown and re-assemble machinery and equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the entire facility.
  • Makes minor plumbing repairs, as necessary
  • Must be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills listed and be well versed in the disciplines mentioned above.
  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
  • Must be able to drill and tap
  • Change out drive belts and chains.
  • Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner.
  • Recommends production efficiency and quality improvements to supervisor.
  • Comply with safety regulations and ensure cleanliness in work area.
  • Immediately report incidents and accidents in work area.
  • Document all Project &Work Order related activities in computer tracking System e-Maintenance.
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Work Experience & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED required, advance education desired.
  • Must hold State of Michigan Card license as Journey or Master Level.
  • 3-5 years of related Machine Repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to program CNC machines using G and M codes or through conversational programming.
  • Selection of proper tools to create geometry.
  • Proficiency in setting optimal speed and feeds for material type, as well as cutting tools selection.
  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines and related mechanical systems.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude with internal combustion experience or understanding desired.
  • Familiar with basic computer software and programing software use
  • Follows applicable safety and environmental rules and regulations.
  • Participates in continuous improvement education/training programs to maintain current technology and methodology as specified by management.
  • Solid interpersonal skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of manufacturing machinery.
  • Fluent English required with comprehensive speaking, writing and spelling skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications is required.
  • Computer expertise: ability to learn PM software, Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem solving and trouble shooting skills while very proficient
  • Electrical aptitude and some mechanical internal combustion experience or understanding desired.
  • Attends and contributes to department and Company meetings.
  • Willing to work various shifts and overtime – in the same day and weekends as needed.
